John Bryan Holaday...he and wife Ashley have one son, John Thomas, and one daughter, Adalynn Mae...earned All-Mountain West Conference honors as a sophomore at Texas Christian University in 2008 after hitting .311 (68x219) with 34 runs scored, 12 doubles, two triples, a home run and 41 RBI in 62 games...batted .300 (61x203) with 39 runs scored, 10 doubles, a triple, 10 home runs and 48 RBI during his junior season at Texas Christian University in 2009 to garner All-Mountain West Conference honors...hit .355 (99x279) with 72 runs scored, 24 doubles, a triple, 17 home runs and 53 RBI in 68 games during his senior season at TCU in 2010 to earn All-Mountain West Conference honors...won the Coleman Company-Johnny Bench Award, the award given annually to the top catcher in collegiate baseball.

Spent majority of season with Triple-A Toledo in Detroit Tigers organization, appearing in 93 games with Mud Hens.
