Resides in Baton Rouge, LA during the offseason...Participated in the Tigers Winter Caravan and TigerFest...In January 2015, he launched the Mikie Mahtook Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the education and prevention of heart disease. In November 2015, they hosted "LSU Baseball Legends for Charity," a gala that raised $110,000 for several organizations devoted to that cause. His father, Mike, passed away of a heart attack at age 32, when Mikie was only 4 years old. He writes his father's uniform number (54) on his cleats...Played three seasons at Louisiana State University and helped the Tigers to the national championship as a freshman in 2009 -- currently ranks second in school history with 12 triples and sixth with 60 stolen bases...finished his career with an active streak of 70 straight games reaching base safely.

2016
