Boesch prepared for any position

ARLINGTON -- Brennan Boesch has been the designated hitter and played left and right field in his three games in the Major Leagues.

What's next, second base? Boesch won't know until Tuesday -- he was not in the starting lineup for Monday's series finale against the Rangers.

Of course, the 6-foot-4, 210-pound rookie won't play at second. But moving around in the outfield and being the DH hasn't bothered him at all, even though he did drop a fly ball in left field on Saturday night. He played right field in all of his Minor League games.

"I'll play wherever they put me in the lineup," Boesch said. "Wherever the skipper puts me I'll play. It's what I was prepared to do when I got the call."
