Tigers at the plate: Magglio Ordonez hit a two-run double for the first runs of the game. Miguel Cabrera launched a 1-1 pitch over the left-field fence for a two-run homer and connected for a solo shot in the fifth. Scott Sizemore homered in the fourth. Don Kelly homered off Orioles closer Michael Gonzalez in the seventh.Orioles at the plate: Miguel Tejada went 4-for-4 with three doubles and two RBIs, while Felix Pie, expected to the team's Opening Day left fielder, went 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Robert Andino launched a two-run homer over the center-field wall in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Tigers on the mound: Dontrelle Willis turned in his weakest outing this spring, yielding five runs on seven hits over 4 1/3 innings. Willis entered Tuesday's start having allowed just two earned runs all spring. Joel Zumaya came on to record the final two outs of the fifth.Orioles on the mound: Brad Bergesen was uncharacteristically wild, issuing three first-inning walks along with a double and a homer. He settled down to retire 10 of the next 11 batters he faced before Sizemore's homer. Bergesen allowed six earned runs on five hits and three walks over five innings. Cla Meredith tossed a scoreless sixth, while Gonzalez yielded two runs on a walk and a hit. Worth noting: Willis was named part of Detroit's rotation on Tuesday, and is slated to start the series finale at Kansas City on April 8. ... The Orioles cut eight players from camp, including right-hander Chris Tillman, who lost the fifth starter spot to David Hernandez. Jason Berken will make his second official spring start against Boston lefty Jon Lester. With Koji Uehara likely to start the season on the disabled list, Berken is a candidate to make the Orioles' Opening Day bullpen as a long reliever. The 1:05 p.m. game, which will be shown on MLB.TV, will be at Ed Smith Stadium.
