2014 Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan ready to roll January 23-24

DETROIT - The 2014 Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan, presented by FOX Sports Detroit, is set for Thursday, January 23 and Friday, January 24, and features an exciting lineup of appearances in Detroit and around the state of Michigan. Tigers President, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager David Dombrowski, Vice President/Assistant General Manager Al Avila, Manager Brad Ausmus, coaches, players, broadcasters and Detroit's favorite mascot PAWS, will take part in a two-day journey traveling in two buses and an additional dozen vehicles, across the region, spreading baseball fever to fans of all ages.

"We are thrilled to get the 2014 Winter Caravan rolling and meet fans throughout the state of Michigan, Northwest Ohio and into Canada," said Elaine Lewis, Vice President of Community and Public Affairs for the Tigers. "We have added new stops and we are revisiting destinations with electric atmospheres that our players, manager and coaching staff are certain to enjoy. We are excited to warm up these cold winter months with the excitement that only a new baseball season can bring."

The 2014 Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan will be making stops at nearly 30 locations, including 12 new destinations. In additions to the new stops, the caravan will also be visiting a pair of cities not visited in previous caravans. The Metro Bus will make a stop in Hamtramck, while the West Bus will debut in Battle Creek.

A variety of season ticket options for the upcoming 2014 season are currently on sale. Ticket packages are available for as low as $15 per game and include great benefits. 1:45-3:30 p.m.  Focus: HOPE

· Tigers players will participate in a rally with Focus: HOPE employees and community partners, with doors opening at 1:45 p.m.
· Players will tour the Machinist Training Institute and the Food Center (Tours begin at 2:30 p.m.)

· Tigers players will participate in an interactive rally for young fans kicking off the Tigers' 2014 Strikeout Bullying campaign
· All participants will receive a Strikeout Bullying wristband
· Players will take part in a private meet and greet with Dreams Come True Guests, select members of the Detroit Tigers Kids Club and Radio Disney contest winners
· Interactive, energetic event for kids with raffle prizes

· Tigers players will receive an orientation of the Canada Border Services Agency operations and participate in a rally with Canadian Border Services Agency officers

· Photo opportunity with Tigers players and Cadillac ELR vehicles
· A three Cadillac ELR caravan will lead the bus to the plant from Comerica Park
