Miggy back in lineup for opener with Royals

KANSAS CITY -- Third baseman Miguel Cabrera was back in the Tigers' lineup on Friday night against the Royals after missing Wednesday's game in Boston due to abdomen/groin soreness.

Manager Jim Leyland will continue to monitor Cabrera from game to game and Cabrera's availability will depend on how he's feeling on any particular day.

"I just want him to be right," Leyland said. "If he is, I'll play him. If he's not, I'm not going to play him. It's just not fair to him or anybody else."
