Infante staying hot in Winter League playoffs

Omar Infante, who avoided arbitration by recently signing a one-year, $1.3 million contract with the Tigers, is preparing for a likely utility role with Detroit by playing for Leones del Caracas in the Venezuelan Winter League playoffs.

The 25-year-old infielder is batting .408 (20-for-49) with eight RBIs and two runs in 12 postseason games after spending the regular season with Caribes de Oriente.
